Unlike Diazepam, we can hardly call Temazepam a common sleeping pill, but the drug is definitely used to improve night sleep, as Temazepam noticeably decreases the number of nightly awakenings. Mylan Pharmaceuticals manufactures its generic version of Temazepam in capsules, e.g. available under indexes Mylan 4010 (15 mg capsule) and Mylan 5050 (30 mg capsule). Temazepam belongs to the family of benzodiazepines, with the highest risk of drug intoxication. The medicine is listed as a Schedule IV drug in the US, and is only available by prescription. Besides Mylan's generic formulation, it can be available under the brand name Restoril.
